JFK's M1 Garand up for Grabs

I wonder if we could find out which Garand JFK ever had, if he did have a Garand in the war. That would be worth more than a post war own Garand.
Does any one know how we can find out who had which Garand during the wars?

they've recoverd a torpedo tube, handle, and one of her engines- i just googled it- probably not much else as the hull was wood and she was smashed starboard at speed by the destroyer-

i don't know if it's still done, but presenting a rifle to the president goes back at least as far as old abe- maybe further- probably for an endorsement, similar as what we get as 'ARMS MAKERS FOR HIS/HER MAJESTY "or some such thing- some folks put a lot of stock in that sort of thing, like 1 of 1000

JFK was a navy officer and probably had a 1911-A1.

In the movie PT 109 where actor Cliff Robertson portraited JFK it shows him with a .38 S&W revolver,....the US navy issued large numbers of .38 victory revolvers chambered in the .38 special as opposed to the British Commonwealth .38/200

I noticed in several wartime pictures of PT Boat crews with M1 Carbines..Thompson smg and of course the .45 auto pistol.

In the book PT 109 it mentions that the crew landed on the island after the sinking of their PT boat with a mixed assortment of .38 revolvers...45 auto pistol and 1 tommy gun.
