I tried searching to see if this has been covered and found nothing.

I came across this 22 and I believe a piece is missing to fully support the chamber. The previous owner did shoot a 22 short and the casing split where not supported.

Looking for help on what is missing please or any info. And, if someone has the part please let me know.

I took this photo on his rather cluttered table.

missing piece

Yes...you are missing the extractor. It is a half circle piece that has a long tail piece on the bottom that extends backward toward and underneath the bolt. There is a "hook" on it that fits into a slot or hole on the bottom of the bolt. When the bolt is fully back, the extractor half circle piece is back about 1/4 inch from the chamber. You chamber a round, and push the bolt shut, thus fully chambering the cartridge into the chamber.

It is not too much of a job for a good gunsmith to make one.
