JM stamped Marlin 410

Yeah I guess those newly produced models pooched me. I should have sold this sucker last year! LOL. Oh well, it doesnt owe me anything either. I was just hoping it was gonna help fund my Stag 10. Damn. LOL. That is life....you win some, you loose some.

Now that I agree with 100%. Oh it has happens to all of us if we collect old guns and they get reproduced
Timing is everything. I have no clue what you have into it but IMO a grand is still a win for both
Take care and all the best whatever you decide to do

To be honest, I have nothing into this. LOL. I bought a bunch of guns off a guy last year for 1500$ and including in that lot was a mint Sako Finn Bear which I sold alone for 1800$. So yeah, this gun is just profit. LOL.

I was planning to keep it but ive got the heavy itch for a Stag 10 rifle and was hoping this could be an even flip. But, I am obviously wrong so ill likely just keep this on ice now. LOL

Hey 84 - Please clarify this - does the barrel say 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 " ? Several of the original posters indoicated they thought it was 2 1/2, but it looks like 3 1/2 to me.
Just curious . . .
Thanks,
Ed

Nice Gun!,
I think without the box and its been fired... you could get $1,200 CAD.. Just going by the original Marlin .410 Dinner guns from 1929-1932 in fair to good condition go around $1,900+ if you are lucky enough to fined and buy one. Cheers

When winchester first introduced the 9410 quickly followed by the Marlin410 there was a bit of interest in them but it died quickly. Then winchester stopped making the 94 and the 9410 and a couple years later they were a scarce sought after collectors item though I don think the marlin really had the same following.I had one of the traditional 9410s with chokes and I sold it for $1800 a few years ago for a nice profit but I don t think people are paying big bucks for them anyone more unless they really have to have one. When Henry started to produce their 410 lever (got it at half price)which I currently own they cornered the market for anyone that wants one just for shooting/hunting leaving the winchester 9410s and the Marlins for the people that wants more of a collector unless they can find a cheap used one.Personally. Have to say I prefer the Henry over the winchester as I found the henry cycles more slicker thogh the henry is a tad heavier.I n my opinion it depends on what you want and how bad you want it and how much your willing to pay for it.
Marlin originally made the model 410 between 1929 - 1932. These were given to people who purchased 4 shares and were presented at their annual shareholder diner. This is how they got the name "Diner Gun". These guns demand high prices.. $2000-$3000 if you can find them. the 22" barreled guns bring in more money than the 26" barrels. These guns receivers were the 1893 receivers with loading port slightly extended. Marlin brought back the .410 in the 2000's for a short period.. these newer rifles were based on the 336 receivers and then again later based on the 1895 receiver. The newer guns should not be confused with the original model 410 guns.. Ever.. I think about only 5000-8000 were ever produced making it one of the rare production line rifles Marlin produced, probably right behind the 1973 Sporter in .44 Mag..
