Minimum wage is $16.55...

So you could do barely anything at some garbage job and have little to no responsibility for only $3.45 less an hour...and walk away with the same pay cheque.

Not to mention an inlet to an interesting industry. Though more of a parallel, an old friend took up a minimum wage job sewing straight lines on a production floor. Specialized textiles. Landed a job sewing plate carriers for a government contract as his next, and picked up a number of new skills while there. Though years later and plenty of drive, he now sews and designs for one of the most highly coveted bag companies in the world.

Keep it up, Simon! Going to be exactly the break that someone has been looking for.

Bunch of #####es. Noone willing to work their way up anymore?. Sound like useless tits... with attitude problems.

Thanks to Simon for advertising a decent job that someone will certainly need in that #### hole town.

I'm at $40 an hr in BC and I can barely make it by these days.
Crazy to think people can live on $20-25 hr,

When I retired in 1999, I was making $21.xx an hour. You could buy a nice 3/2 house for under 90K. You could buy a new 4X4 Truck for $25K or less.
Making $20-$25 an hour now, and your living in poverty. Even if your mate made the same, I don't think that you would qualify for a mortgage to buy any kind of house.
And with AI about to throw millions or billions of people out of work, things are only going to get worse.

Not throwing shade but I guess some people can!

If you have trouble living off $40/hr, maybe you should change your spending habits. That sounds like a series of bad decisions on your end, bud.
