I have a semi 1919A4, and it was registered back when we had the long registration, so it's perfectly legal. Also if you use the pre 1945 desinged 30-06 links, you not limited to the stupid 5rd limit.

I machined the side plate and did the rivitng my self. Plans for the side plate can be found on 1919a4.com The hardest part is finding all the parts. Registration took about a year.
