John- you're retiring?

No not health issues.... Old age.... desire to travel for pleasure rather than business....

But thank you for your interest

how many gun stores are left in Canada?

We lost like...oh i forget the stats, something like 1/2 of all of them over the last several years.

Take it easy on the gun store owners guys, dont scare them off! We need John and guys like him. The government and RCMP are doing their part to over regulate and seize shipments of stuff to squeeze these guys out of business, no point in bad mouthing them because your Norinco M14 is a few months late etc.

RETIRING;
Perhaps I was not clear on this....

I will slowly move out of the day to day operations of Marstar....

Marstar is being taken over by two very able employees who, I'm certain, will continue to offer the market setting products we became known for....

Who knows they may even have a better attitude than me ?
John

Yes

Just out of curiosity is that a general statement in reference of our failed government putting a lockdown on the shooting sport, or is there a specific example in the past where John/Marstar was targeted or royally screwed? I'd be interested to hear some stories

But John survived -

John,

You are a giant in the Canadian firearms scene by virtue of the immense contributions you have made through Marstar and personally over many years. I know that Marstar will be in good hands and that your legacy will live on.

Thanks!

P.S. I bought my very first milsurp from John - a Yugo 24/47. I still have it, and it will be the last gun I ever sell.
