johnson 1941 barrel

I have a Johnson 1941 in need of a new barrel. I am told the Johnson barrel is made from a 1903 barrel. I have a NOS 1903 barrel. Does anyone have the drawings to machine the 1903 barrel into a 1941? I have the locking lugs barrel extension.

yes I have the original barrel.

check with Nick at vulcan gun refinishing , he is able to make new to spec barrels , also has a great video on restoring 2 of them on his site

I have a buddy doing this very thing. I will ask him.

I used a Ruger 3006 take off barrel to make mine. Same thread. Have the gunsmith use the original barrel as the pattern

yes my buddy is using a 1903 barrel as a donor. he has to ream the barrel to make it work .
