Have 3 load that work great
90.5gr retumbo 300 smk In lapua brass 3.650 slow but has only 5 fps diff. 2668 fps Out 5 shots
92.0 gr retumbo. .45 moa at 300 yards 2740fps
93.5 gr retumbo .485 moa at 300 yards 2810 fps
All loads were shot at -15c and used quicktaget to get all the groups.

Can the trg 42 stabailize 300 grainers? Have they changed the rifling twist?
My TRG has a 10" twist, so it should be able to stabilize 300gr. I havent tried the 300gr bullets yet, so I'm not speaking from experience. I just picked up a few boxes and I'm waiting for warmer weather before working up a load.

Ok, thought I read somewhere you need a faster twist than 1:10 for 300 grainers
That caliber didn't work for me. I didn't have enough skills to shoot it or reload for it. I hope you have better luck wih it. I am back to 308, 300wm and the like.
