Hi,

My name is Steve, I'm 23, from Ottawa.

I'm in the Canadian Army reserve and study history at Carleton university. I just got my restricted firearms license a couple months ago, and joined the forum to learn more!

I'm interested in WW2 handguns, and am hoping my first gun will be a Colt 1911 U.S. Army from the WW2 era. I've been looking all over for one - hoping my account gets approved soon as I will be looking the buy/sell/trade forums :) I'm also interested in the Husqvarna 1907, and am planning to load my own ammo for it with my best friends dad when I get one.

My other hobbies are photography and WW2 modelling, I have an online portfolio here: http://sm87.carbonmade.com/

I hope that gives you some information about me and I'm looking forward to using the forums!

Thanks,
-Steve

Thanks guys - I've been on the forum less than 24 hours and already bought the Husqvarna 1907...now all I need is a 1911 u.s. army and it's gonna be a good summer! hehe

Hey Cold Lake Kid, I'm sure I'll catch ya at the RA this winter, I did my courses there, and I just got a 1911, hehe, this site is pretty awesome. When is the best time to go shoot hand guns?

Hi. Get an issue piece? W.W. II vintage issue Colts are pricey and getting scarce, in decent condition. They don't really shoot well either(no reason not to buy one if the price is right). Still kicking myself that I had to sell the one I had to pay a lawyer. The Series 70 I have now won't fit in the issue holster. High visiblity sights are too big. Shoots a great deal better though.
"...I'm in the Canadian Army Reserve..." Serving with what Regm't? OCDT? Not that it matters. Thanks.
