Joining the M14 club

Well I was originally thinking of picking up a 10/22 to start and then an M14 afterwards, but after much thought and question asking to a certain member here I decided to go this route instead.

So I picked up an unfired (but cleaned) Norinco M14S with a USGI synthetic stock already installed.

I've never been ashamed of being an airsoft player and although I might be made fun of this... here is an airsoft gun that I "fielded":

It had the same weight as a real M14. I don't know if this had any hand on why I wanted to buy that M14S but maybe....

that's the truth! It's only been a couple hours since I finished the transfer... the bloody gun won't be here until Friday IF it gets mailed out first thing tomorrow morning!

It arrived!

Well I ripped off the brown paper rapping to find....

Needless to say it made me stop and think! I immediately made sure that the box wasn't signed in!

Phew! Ok so I took the gun out and started drooling! She isnt the prettiest girl at the dance but I'm sure she'll go bang just fine!

Came with three mags and the booklet. Oh and the cleaning kit is in the stock as well.

Well my plans are repainting the stock to an OD and simply adding a scope and bipod to it. Of course I'll have to replace some parts in due course.

That box is a Law Enforcement Firearm evidence box! Thus the whole "chain of custody" section for signatures. This box is obviously used for rifles and there are smaller ones for handguns. Haven't you ever looked through an RCMP evidence locker?
