Josh Bowmar SPEARS GIANT BEAR On The Ground - Alberta Canada

I guess a lot of people don't understand anatomy. At some angles the entry hole will be a bit back in order to pass threw the vitals.ie. behind the last rib toward the front shoulder on the other side. This passing threw all the vitals. .

They can't charge him... it is not currently against the law.

Thats an interesting point there hoytcanon, unless there is a Law that is published deep in the Official Regulations.
What the average consumer reads either online or picks up at the local fishing and hunting store are just a synopsis of the ''Official Regulations''
Not every law in its entirety is published.
I'm thinking this Siht Storm thats abrewing is muchado about nothing.
Other than the Government of Alberta is pretending to be onto something.
The Regulations will change or maybe they will change and eventually the storm will subside.
Personally I could care less about the guy stabbing the bear with a spear and the drama he created in the video isnt Academy Award worthy either.
The guy has a sponsor who pays his bills for him pimpin their gear.
Be it the Spear, the camera or the underwear that is beneath the camo outter wear they all pay him a royalty for wearing/pimpin that stuff.
Thats about as far as I can go with condemning his actions...and again it is not my cuppa tea either.

Still waiting for an answer to all the wannabe (anti) hunters as to their method of killing bear. And how they regularly target "good" bear by stumbling through the bush and not by baiting. Do any of the wannabes realize that the diaphragm sits behind the lungs and in front of intestines?

If the all the PETA suburbanites had their way, we would only kill bear by lethal injection (by way of compromise, if at all..) after crying a suitable amount of crocodile tears into it's fur and thanking a semi murderous lump of meat for "giving" it's life for us.

Next on the block, are tree stands (personally the ones that look like a tornado dropped a mobile in the tree are ridiculous), camo, cover scent, compounds, recurve, trads, muzzle loaders, and "high powered" scoped center fires.

I am not condemning any action taken by Bowmar, except... posting the video to general social media... in this day and age, that was not a smart move.

Definitely a bad move and one where he must've realized there'd be negative feedback, considering it's a definite grey area in acceptable hunting practice and legality. The fact he's a "bad American" doesn't help.

I'm not sure it was a bad move, despite the negativity. The antis are always bemoaning the fact that rifle hunting doesn't give the game a chance, whatever that means. I say let them see what a primitive, on the ground hunt looks like, and then see what their opinion of rifle hunting is. As for the accusation of cruelty, if we examine that, we see that klling is an essential component of life on earth. That being the case, death through violent action is a natural event in the wild. Given the life experience of a wild animal, which must be the basis when the subject of cruelty is discussed, killing with a spear is no less humane than anything nature has to offer. It comes without warning, and the injury is massive and fatal within a short period of time.
