JP Enhanced bolt loose in carrier

I'm just putting together a 6.5 Grendel build, purchased a JP Enhancedbolt for it and am using a brand new Toolcraft nickle boron carrier. The JP bolt seems to be a lot looser in the carrier when installed, it would fall out of the carrier by itself if the cam pin was removed and the carrier tilted down. It is definitely looser than my other BCG's (all AAC or Toolcraft 5.56 assemblies). Should i be concerned or is a slightly looser fit normal with JP bolts? Did a bit of a search online about it but didn't find anything conclusive.

If you are using the JP one piece gas ring, that is why it seems so loose, in the instructions they state that the one piece gas rings will not be as tight as regular gas rings

I have a complete JP 6.5 Grendel bcg and the bolt moves really easily. No issue whatsoever with function. I suspect your mix and match setup will also work without issue.

If the fitment bothers you maybe switch to regular type gas rings and see if it snugs things up? But I don't think changing gas rings will be necessary.

Try it first and go from there.

Yeah, what is your gas ring setup? The JP one-piece gas ring is definitely looser feeling than a regular setup on a AR15 bolt.

It comes with JP's gas ring, the bolt's kind of rattling around in the carrier but I'll find out soon enough how it runs...
