JR carbine accepting Beaver tail grips ?

SO I go to install a Magpul grip that has a beaver tail onto my JR carbine this Aft, only to notice the beaver tail section of the grip sits sort of low. As in it doesnt mate up to the metal of the lower perfectly in a way that makes a very unsightly gap

I wish I took pictures but I didnt, the grip is a Magpul SL I believe...

Anybody else have issues with this on their JR's ?

Yup. Not very happy about it. Put on a Moe K2. Hate the gap so going to switch to a Moe k.

lol thats my plan as well... just wanted to make sure im not the only one with this problem and that my receiver isnt out of spec or something. Cus last time I read, JR was bragging their Carbines accepted beaver tail grips
