Bought 500 rounds of Wolf a few months ago and got them to the range last week ( outdoors -1c ) .

Wish I had bought 1000 rounds .. My JR Carbine just loved them .. Used about 4 different glock 21 mags , one original and three that I changed the springs in ( bought the springs from JRC )

Seems like a great load, almost fine tuned for the JRC ( well mine ) .. Hope it works for others .. Just some feedback

My JRC in 9mm also smooth as silk. I have two factory Glock mags and one KCI 10/33 no feeding problems. Might have to try Wolf ammo, so far have fired Blazer Brass, American Eagle and Remington UMC, all without any FTF or FTEs.

They had problems with .45 when they first came out. These are only JR carbines with the triangle barrel. I just converted my JR to .45 from 9mm. Cant wait to go out and shoot! Frontier Firearms has the conversion kits!

First trip to the range with my JR in .45 acp and the ejector broke after 3 shots. After contacting JR Carbines they sent me two replacement ejectors under warranty. Said there were a bad batch of ejectors that were out there. Glad to see they stuck by their product.

Second time out with the new ejector the gun ran fine. I was using Norinco ammo. I do find it beats the hell out of the ejected casings. Have to figure out what is causing that. Anyone else find that with their .45 JR? I also think the buffer on mine is bottoming out during recoil. Might try a heavier buffer to see if that makes a difference.

I am not a fan of JR products as they are not a proven design as others.

However I would love to find out where did you buy your wolf rounds from is it a new retailer with good pricing

Sorry for the confusion .. I presume you mean Wolf ammo from the US (Russian) .. I posted on SFRC as they sell reloaded ammo from Wolf in Canada (Ontario) .. I have not come across Wolf ammo ( Russian) online in Canada ..

Wolf in Canada has been reloading for 15 years , contracts with major Canadian players etc. ( RCMP etc.) .. Sold on SFRC's site

I am a big fan of JR products .. May be not as proven, but simple, and easy on the pocket book .. I like to tinker also ..

I found the wolf to be significantly better than factory loads in my .45 JR. Significantly better means up to 6 shots without a failure. :( Can I ask when you bought yours? Got mine in spring of this year, has been back for servicing but still no luck. I'm expecting a kit from JRC any day now to help fix things up..

Bought my JR .45 in June of 2012 from a batch that Wolverine had .. It was of the newer elk i.e. It had the fore end with rounded ports as opposed the the trade mark three slots ...

All the reading I did prior to the purchase ( I had a glock 21c unfired for 10 years and wanted to cycle some stored .45 ammo with out the ATT crap ) indicated the JR's problems ( after they figured out the buffer weight ) was related to mag choice . This was my understanding . As I wanted to maintain my gen 2 mags (extra) for my 21c , I purchased new gen mags but made sure I bought the replacement springs from JRC .. Took some trial and error , but the mags sing now and no FTF .. Had a few ripped and dented FTF but it is related to the glock mags in my opinion .. Right springs , right orientation of the spring in the mag , FTF are a thing of the past .. As I had 4 mags ( three were after market ) it was easy to track what mag was giving me FTf .. I may mention that where the JR springs are H Duty I only load 9 rounds at this point .. Ended up I joined a range went the ATT route anyway , bought two other fifes (.22 semi auto) and a .22 semi auto ruger and became an ammo horder all in the last 6 months.

Where are you guys getting your Glock 21 mags?

I just bought a newer JR in .45 and no mags to be found at all here locally and I can't find any at the major mail order places either?

Order them from JR Carbines. They come with the modified spring already built in. That is where I got mine. They ship fast, too.

Why? Have there been problems with the JRC's in 45?

Awesome - a little bit of good news about the 45acp version JRC. There may be hope yet!

There have been problems. However, JR has a free upgrade for the owners of the .45 JR. It works really well and is a huge improvement. It comes with a new magwell, heavier buffer, new spacer(s) and bumper as well as an extension tube for the stock tube. The feed ramp in the new magwell is much beefier and has a much better radius which allows better feeding of different types of rounds; mags fit tighter as well.

Geclark has done an excellent review on the upgrade elsewhere on this site.

Unfortunately the don't actually sell mags any more. I checked their site and called them as well.

Anyone else have a line on some Glock 21 mags to fit the .45 ACP JR Carbine?
