I've read a lot of CGNers having problems with their new JRs. Seems the .40 and .45s are the current threads. I'm interested in getting a new .9mil from Epps. Anyone bought a .9 mil in let's say the last month? Any issues? I'm just wondering if I should wait a while. The manufacturer says that they have solved all the bugs out of the .9, but I'd like to hear from a new owner before I drop a grand.
Also I've seen some cool add ons and mods. I'll most likely change the barrel and add a better rail. Any help with sites to find accessories would be appreciated.
Cheers

I wanted one Bad! But the guys at Epps talked me out of it due to a long list of returns due to firing pin problems.
Really like my CX4 storm but the JR just looks more bad ass & clips are way cheaper.

I really want one too. Are you serious? The guys at Epps talked you out of spending $1000 in their store? Were you wanting one in 9mm?
I sent an email to Epps asking about any problems concerning the JR in 9mil.
Here's the response I just received
"Just Right did experience some teething issues with the JR Carbine in .40 S&W calibre only. We have not heard of any issues with the 9mm Luger models, and as we are a warranty depot for these guns, one would presume that any issues that did arise would be dealt with through our gunsmith shop."
That makes me think the 9s are OK.
I wonder if anyone HAS sent one back for warranty?
So you really like the Beretta eh?
I shot one at my club and I have to say I had a lot of fun. The drag is I want a NR. Plus the Cx is a bit Storm trouper looking in my option.
I don't know what to do.

I have one in 9mm bought about 3 weeks ago from Frontier firearms and it eats everything My own homeloads with cast lead bullets comercial reloads and some federal factory and winchesters as well all different bullet weights and not one problem I'm over 500rnds not cleaned it yet Buy one in 9mm you'll love it.

magpul BUS for me, runing a"new gen 9mm over 1700rnds down the pipe and shes going strong. never heard of a fireing pin problem. if it was the older guy with the gray hair, hes a bit outta the loop im guessing. I attempted to deal with him when i went in to but a benelli M4, he was a bit of a knowit'all

get the 9mm jr and have fun with it

Mine is a new generation 9mm. So far......flawless.

X2, I called JR to make sure they have these running.

Mine will run lead or FMJs with no issues at all.

The JR folk were quite helpful explaining why teh first gen were hit miss, and it was a mag seating issue

I had a hard time seating my mag with a full mag, but after a few dozen seats its fine now

good luck with getting things back on track with it

I was looking at the JR in 9mm at the time. But came home with a NR .40 CX4.
The .40 was the only one converted to NR they had at the time.
My wife hated the JR but liked the CX4 so I cut my losses and still came home with a new toy.
As luck would have it one of the guys at work was selling off 1000+ rounds of 40 winchester frangible ammo for $15 a box.

Can't remember who it was but it was a dry fire issue. Something about damaging the pin after only one or two dry fires without a snap cap.

I still might own a Jr if my new job comes through.

I have the .40 with 300 rnds through it. Winchester FMJ for 150 rnds with no problems. When I switched to the Winchester "clean brass" ( I think that's what it's called) I had 3-4 malfunctions within 150 rnds. Nothing too serious.
It's a 3rd gen model.
I'm using Magpul Mbus with a red dot in the future.

I have a 2nd gen 9mil JR. ( I aslo have a lot more rifles in my safe then I have time to shoot ,so it take me a while to build up a round count) I purchased the JR last August from wolverine . The round count is aprox up to 250 now. As I put more rounds through it the more problems I encountered. Such as FTF , FTE,bump fires, crushed brass.
I talked to Tom at JR's office today. The first thing he had me do was measure the buffer, and sure enough I have the wrong one.
They are mailing me a replacement heavier steel buffer, that according to him will solve all of the problems.
This was my second phone call . The first time I called them they dismissed the problems to the ammo .
I am now hoping that I can, in the very near future , post that my 9mil JR runs flawlessly .

the new buffer fixed my feeding issues. They checked the S/N, told me that the gun was up to date and to switcvh ammo. Then Tom called me and asked for specs of the buffer, emialed him the info and he called that night and told me a new buffer was on the way.
