my NIB, never fired gun has a couple of quirks.

first is the bolt sticks to the back unless i am holding down the trigger. to bolt seems to get stuck under the tension of the hammer. if the disconnector has some movement, IE trigger pulled after dropping the hammer, it is fine. hammer up, gets cocked and the bolt sticks to the rear if the trigger isn't pulled while cycling.

second, the Glock OE 10 round mag, does not even want to come close to holding the bolt open. normal?

Do you have the right number of nylon shims behind your buffer spring? I think it'll stick if the buffer and bolt is allowed to go back too far. What caliber?

Also, as lone wolf has stated, none of the JRC's have a last shot hold open feature.

9mm. i don't think it is the buffer. like i said, with the trigger pulled, back and forth 100%. just racking it with no trigger, gets stuck at the rear from the pressure of the hammer. i took off the stock and it still got stuck. pulled the lower from the upper and it slide like butter back and forth.

If I pull the bolt handle hard and far enough back, it is a little "sticky" and once or twice has stayed there for a sec or 3. I've only ever done this with no mag inserted. I don't really do that much during any kind of firing procedure tho. The only way to hold the bolt open is to pull it back and drop the handle into the hold open notch, there is no last round hold open. Usually my process is fire last round, hold bolt open, remove empty mag, insert new mag, lift bolt handle and a new rounds is chambered - go bang 10 times, rinse, repeat.

I seem to recall it may have done this a little more frequently earlier on, but just checked, if I pull hard enough and the handle goes well back beyond he hold open notch, it'll stick, but I gotta jam it back (which I just don't ever do in practice). Gun fires fine.

I had the same problem with mine It was from when they removed the pin on the six position stock There was a small dent in the tube of the stock Which would Cause the bolt To hang up . As well the hammer was making contact in the cutout in the bolt . Even with these problems it ran fine .but I did have the stock tube replaced .

In my post I Said it was the bolt hang up it was the buffer hang up in the tube and the bolt hang up on the hammer . The too things Together Were the Problem Remove one of the problems and you are good too go .

I just saw a pic of your JRC on another thread (very nice build, BTW), and noticed you have the UBR stock installed on it. There was another thread here not that long ago about being careful with the length of the buffer tube if you are replacing the factory one with another stock. Some stocks have a longer tube which allows the buffer and the bolt to travel back too far. If I remember correctly, this owner actually had the bolt handle contact the back of that slot, but there was no damage to his gun.

Might be worth a double check to make sure this isn't the case with your setup.

This. Your bolt handle should end up halfway between the notch and the rear most cut out of the slide.
