JR Carbine Range Report

"Does anyone else think it needs a slightly longer handguard with the Canadian length barrel? "

Yeah, it does look a little bit funny.

Possibly a slide-on fake silencer to cover part of the barrel would look cool.

Release of the magazine was done with the thumb, and then the mag was 'stripped out'.
I don't think a longer rail/can would affect the balance in a negative way...
You just have to accept the 'weird' look, as the balance isn't bad.
This contrasts with my XCR in 7.62X39 which is hindered by the longer...and heavier...non-restricted barrel.
That's why I'm having a shorter barrel fitted as an option for range only use.

How still is your safety...mine is almost impossible to move...I haven't yet stripped it to clean and lube, so am hoping the safety lightens to the point where it could actually be used if desired. That will have to wait until my ar wrench arrives!

The safety was pretty stiff out of the box, but improved with use.
I haven't gotten around to taking the trigger pack apart, but as it seems to be stock AR components, it could benefit from aftermarket additions.
