The JR carbine website shows a "take-down tube", which replaces the fore-end and barrel nut and allows quick disassembly of the carbine by merely unscrewing the tube and removing the barrel. I am attracted to the idea of the folding KelTec Sub2000 but I hate the cheap plastic feel. Since I already have a JR, the take-down option seems like the perfect solution. Does anyone have any experience with this gadget?

I'm also interested in this as I am considering a JR Carbine purchase soon. I've googled for info but I cant seem to find any reviews of anyone having used one of these take down tubes. In fact the only info I've found seems to be whatever is on the website: shop.justrightcarbines.com/Takedown-Tube-Takedown.htm

Its not that expensive, so if I do get the JRC I might just have to take a chance and hope that take-down tube works well.
