I'm debating which one to purchase, the Just right carbine or the Chiappa m1-9 both in 9mm. I'm aware that the Jr takes glock mags and the Chiappa takes 92fs mags. The price is making me lean towards the Chiappa. Is there any other 9mm carbines that take pistol mags that aren't too expensive?

I'd stay away from the Chiappa. Piece of junk IMO, tons of quality issues. The JR is a solid rifle though. It costs 2x what the Chiappa does, but is way more then 2x the rifle.

I was looking at the JR Carbine but I also been looking at the TNW Aero it looks pretty much like the same thing but with a removable barrel so you can pack it easier in say a backpack for camping. They also are saying they are coming out with a .22 and a .17 version I think a .17 version would be cool. Looks like about the same price point.

If they ever do it in .17 hmr ill be over it like a seagull on french fries in the mcdonald parking ! lol

the reviews posted here on the chiappa were not good, I would not consider the JR as my friends has never worked properly and the retailer says ammunition is the problem.

I would look at a thureon defence or find the ultra rare HK ump

i have the chiappa have over a 1000 round down the pipe and the only problem i got once in a while is a fail to eject but always look to be the same mag and always on the last round and that all , accuracy is good enough for a cheap plinker at 25 yard

My 9mm Jr runs flawlessly with any ammo I have put in it.I have heard the other cals sometimes have feeding issues related to ammo and mags.Had the sub too and it also worked flawlessly. The Chiappa looks good but reliability sounds sketchy.

Watched a shooting buddy struggle with the Chiappa M1-9 through a match. Saw the issues up close since I was the RO with the timer. I'm pretty sure he didn't make it through a single magazine without at least one major blockage.

These were proper Beretta magazines too. Not some cheap knock off.

Like a few of their guns the M1-9 is a rifle I'd like to get. But not with the dismal performance I saw and the many reports I see on the web saying much the same.

Dad003, I'm afraid that you seem to have gotten one of the rare good ones.
