JR Carbine Vs Kodiak K9

Like I said, for me the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

To look at it from another perspective, how much time are you saving by short stroking for faster splits and is that worth the downsides (ie the penalty of bolt forward on an unloaded start etc)?
Unless stated in the match copy, option 3 is your call on bolt open or bolt closed ...that's the only dilemma situation for me. Stuffing a mag and slapping the release sure is quicker than pulling the charging handle.

It's a personal preference thing...I short stroke with a hydraulic buffer and two 2.5oz spacers on an 8.25" tube. Sure gets rid of the dot bounce and makes double taps super quick. I figured the time saved on the splits and transitions is worth more than the occasional inconvenience of not having a bolt hold open.

Sounds identical to my setup, I am running two kynshot weights and a hydraulic buffer.

I bought a Just Right Carbine buffer tube with extra length for the weights (1.5"?) and still have the LRBHO.

JR Carbine..any AR15 trigger is a drop in..aftermarket fills the void as far as stocks... I have one in 9mm second gen..have 1000's of round down the pipe..buy the take down model or just the front take down forearm..I run a vortex red dot...have since day one..there no open sights as shipped, very accurate, and you get a couple hundred feet per second over a pistol. ( and if you have a Glock you can share mags)Well built, and great factory support. People alway complain about the two takedown screws..I've never had a problem...as long as you careful, and don't over crank them..and the best thing ...it's not all plastic! Aluminum mostly..steel barrel..aluminum reciver...a little heavier then most plastic models of the same caliber.
Cheers

Great information, thank you. I will probably buy a JR in a 10mm later. For this round I ended up going with a Smith and Wesson FPC. I absolutely love it. Incredible unit. But I think the JR will be my next purchase.
Thanks again.
