Hey there, I want to put an A2 stock on a JR carbine do I use a standard A2 rifle length spring and buffer or do I have to use the one that comes with the JR.

thanks

I seem to remember doing that to mine, as i just did with my black creek labs 102 and my fx9, i did a lot of research about what length tube, what buffer etc, then i sent the manf an email and asked, once i had enough info i ordered all the parts and was on my way

the tube for the JR is a carbine, it is the buffer for the JR that is throwing me off, it does not look like a standard carbine buffer.

You will have to use the buffer spring and buffer that came with your JR. You solve the problem of having a rifle length tube by inserting a delrin spacer into the rear of the buffer tube before you install the spring and buffer.

This is what I did on my Thureon Defense carbine when I installed an A2 stock and it worked perfectly. The TD carbine also has it's own proprietary buffer so I had to use it. They can't simply be replaced with an AR buffer.

That's what I did with mine . Just made a spacer so the inside length of the full length AR tube is the same as the JR tube .
