So what's the verdict? Is everyone happy with their guns? I was thinking about one but really want to know that it's all good.

I have one in 9mm. I'm really liking it.

Buy one already.

You might be sad if you expect the 1" groups at 100 yards like people claim though.

I want a NR AR type rifle, so it's either one of these, or I grab a sr22..

Mostly for plinking, but once you start playing with it, it becomes a $1000 gun fast, so just trying to see how to best use my money. I guess for sh1ts and giggles type of plinking I could just get a Mossberg Tactical..

The problem with buying something to substitute for a expensive gun you want, is you'll end up getting the expensive one later and the cheap one will sit there.

If that makes sense to you. Its happened to me a few time.

All the power to you for buying lots of guns though.:D

It's a $1000 gun right off the hop.
Taxes and shipping with an extra mag and I was at $1100.

It costs almost the same here as it does in the USA, this is something I consider when buying a gun.

I would choose this over an SR-22 any day of the week... it's much better at impersonating the AR than the SR-22 could ever hope to.

It's a little crude, but also very simple in design. Not much to go wrong on one from what I can see.

I am satisfied with mine, but as mentioned it can get up their in cost with addons. :)

I'll be able to post pics in a several weeks; waiting for barrel threading.

Im getting an SR-22, no doubt since it is cheap and I can shoot with my kids.

Ill also be getting a JR Carbine in .40 SW to match my work and personal Glock.

So a small PDW style carbine, that takes the same mags and ammo as my side arm. Pretty much sold there.

mine in 9mm is flawless after 750rds. so far love the jr, also stopped shooting my 22 after this purchase. keep in mind that this semi blow back will never be as accurate as a bolt gun but with 10 round mags its a lot of fun!

Ouch: no comparison. A mossberg tactical .. really??? If you want a quality .22LR plinker go with the SR-22. If you want a cheap, semi functional, water gun feeling type .22LR then yes; the mossberg is the way to go.

The JR is a great little carbine. I have shot the 9mm but prefer ( and thus bought) the .40S&W model. You will find it plenty accurate for a pistol caliber carbine and great fun to shoot.

I Don't mean to hate on these, but why drop $1000 on a 9mm carbine when you could have quite a nice AR for the same price? Maybe its just me but I cant see justifying that type of money for something with such limited range.

I'd love to have one yes, same with an SR 22. but I can put a 10/22 in an ATI stock for less than half. Can someone try to help me understand (without being a #### lol) why everyone is so into these things?

Other's wonder why someone would drop $1000+ on an AR that can only be used at the range. The JR is not restricted and that appeals to a lot of people.

If you go out to the range a few times a week normally then it wouldn't be a problem buying a AR. I don't belong to a club yet so I have a JR carbine.

Also if you reload with lead bullets its very cheap to shoot and dings steel a lot harder then a 22lr.

I know that your talking about about the ability to reach out and touch someone when you say "limited range" but there are many people that want a AR-type rifle that is not tied down to the downside of owning a restricted weapon.
If you are an owner of property in Canada in which you can discharge a firearm legally (not everyone is in the city) then the JR is very enticing as an alternative to the AR platform.
Plus some people have do have a larger amount of disposable income then others. $1000 for a rifle to some may be many months worth of saving, to others it not a second thought.
As a group, firearm owners come from all walks of life.

First plinker was the SR22. it was fun and I liked the large capacity magazines. Then the 9mm JR.

I picked it up it from Badger Arms SK with an extra mag "donation" for 900.00, taxes in, good salesmen. I also took the time to drive out there to get it though. I haven't shot the SR much since the JR. I like the JR, because I can just load up all my Glock 17 magazines, and take both my rifle and pistol to the range with the same equipment. Easy.

TRUTH. I got a JR because I couldnt fund an XCR....now I have both lol

Get the JR, the 9mm ones work great, the only problem Im having is constantly spending money on ammo lol
