The newer ones are threaded...mine's Gen 2, but I had to have Dlask thread mine.

Shop has one and says its a newer one , would hate to get one that has problems

Ha yup. The front sight is on backwards!! I just kinda liked the look a little better with that long a** barrel.

Just showed up today, courtesy of Jo-Brook...

I have some ARMS 71 BUIS on the way. I currently have an ARMS 40 here, but am going with their new composite sights for this.


Unboxed it today, played with it, and took it out and quickly put 60 rounds through it with zero issues. I have 5 brand new KCI mags, and they functioned flawlessly the first time. I was kind of nervous based on the mixed reviews I'd read on them.

Anyway, nothing crazy yet. I have a stock for it, but need to get a mil-spec tube first. And I am loving the look of the shrouds so I' probably have to buy one of those too.

i just used a drain plug washer from a VW passat ~1999 1.8L. prefect size and is crushable to get the right alignment.

Dammit, you beat me to it! I was going to do the exact same thing with my 8.5" but I was looking into the legalities of it before I went and did it. Now I know I am GTG I will be working on this in the next few months.
