JR Carbine

They won't ship barrels, bolts, or receivers across the border, but they will ship everything else. I bought my flash hider from them and it wasn't an issue to get it in the mail. We're supposed to be good friends with America, proud to share the "longest, unprotected border", but they (US govt.) sure don't treat us that way in many aspects.

.40 cal with about 1500rds through. Originally had trouble with Winchester ammo jamming once in a while. Switched to cheaper Federal and it never misses a beat.
Fun to take outdoors for shooting and handles all the cool AR-15 goodies.
I did have a buffer tube that had some flat nasty looking threads on it, didnt affect anything but I was worried about in the future. Emailed JRC and sent out a new buffer tube and nut for free! Ive asked them question in the past and their service is amazing.
Cant go wrong as a non-restricted 10 round firearm.

Is there any fake suppressors or barrel shrouds out there that thread on yet slide over the barrel (as in not changing the overall length)?

I'm looking for something to reduce the visual impact of the long barrel. Cosmetic, I know....

Yes. Look at my gun above.
Slides over. Cant remember the site off the top of my head. Have to look into it
It was about $70

I ordered an NCstar 12" railed handguard for my 9mm JRC. I was hoping to find someone to cut it down to a 12.5" barrel and re-threaded it to the current thread.

Cutting the barrel any shorter than 18.5 makes your gun a prohib.

You would have to buy a barrel manufactured at that length and then it would only be restricted.

Welcome to Canada.....

ah crap,...totally forgot about that .....my bad.
I hope Dlask or someone in Canada comes out with a shorter barrel.

If you ask, they'll probably custom make one, the barrel design must be fairly simply being blow back and swap-able.

If you look through the JR Carbine #### thread on here, you'll see someone had his re-barreled. I think one of the site sponsors did it. They have the restricted FRT too. I want to say it was Ellwood Epps, but I'm probably wrong.

Does anyone else's JR Carbine .40 occasionally throw debris/dirt into your face when firing a round? Was shooting American Eagle, went to Lawman clean fire and it's reduced... (moved the charging handle to the right).

Had a few FTF and FTE, I think a good scrubbing of the feeding area will help. Got this one on a trade, BNIB supposedly. Didn't appear to been fired, but looked like it had been taken apart as there was a tool mark on the handguard... Also, the stock doesn't collapse, stuck in the outward position (luckily where I want it).

Sighted a Vortex Strikefire on it and I'm overall happy with the rifle and it's accuracy. Just need to solve a few issues. I think the JR's having issues are pretty common from what I'm reading.

The stock is pinned, I drilled mine out, others say theirs came loose from firing. You'll see the pin on the left side of the stock.

if u have a lot of oil in it the manual says there is a risk of debrus going into your face.
