JR Carbine

are u saying moving the charging handle to the right reduced the amont of debris?
also, I assume the brass ejects to the opposite side?

I moved the charging handle over just to be right handed, even before I shot the rifle. Only a couple shots had debris coming out into my face... Charging handle and ejection is to the right, as in this disassembly video I was following (field stripped and lubed before use):

Why is the stock pinned

Trigger is sub-par in my opinion, about what I expected at this price point.

I think they pin it for importation, but that's just conjecture on my part. Either way, it's easy to remove.

thanks...changed mine,..much better. Got a heavy tungsten buffer,..works better...less banging around in the buffer tube. Ordered a DPMS 12.5 handguard.

dpms vented handguard with magpul rail section, fake can on backwards, insight light /laser, Ergo fde grip, and C-more knock off.
works great....

best to try brownells....or ebay. a 9mm flash hider threaded to 1/2 x 28 costs twice to three times as much up here. i got my fake can off ebay.

I love my JR carbine. Haven't changed too much. Added a red dot and a fore grip. Trying to figure out how to sling it. I changed the charging handle to the right only because it stabs me when I sling it along my chest. I like it on the left. No issues and it does get dirty but that is what blow backs do.

I just am having issues with the firing pin cutting the odd primer. I fixed that by getting away from the Remington pistol primers. It's one hell of a lot of cheap and accurate fun. It can out shoot the red dot on it. Am debating on getting a scope for it. Only thing left I might change is the stock and buffer tube. Love that it's NR. Goes anywhere.

I'm looking to install a Noveske NSR-16.7" rail. Does anyone know is this will require a different barrel nut or spacer?

Thanks

I think the barrel nut the NSR comes with will work (as most standard barrel nuts do) with the JR. You might need to shim underneath it thought. I used a DD lite rail and had to do just a bit of shimming to get it tight.

Also, how are you guys lubricating this thing. The manual basically calls for next to no lube but I was considering a light coat of standard CLP on everything. Recommendations?

Mine came with a bottle of oil from JC direct. Lubricate what you can get to.

Work in progress, waiting for 4X ACOG and Supressor.

A quick update, still waiting for a ACOG 4x32

Just took it to the range with the metal sights, 100 rounds with 0 issues, shoots better than me without the 4X scope. Oh yah!
