JR Carbines -- NOTICE

Selling the gun without the magazine will not solve this issue as the JR Carbine was registered with the CFO as being able to hold 10-shots. Regardless of whether the magazine comes with the gun or is purchased or shipped separately, the JR is registered as a 10-shot semi-automatic centre-fire rifle, and will therefore be subject to review for all transfers, just as the CX4 Storm is reviewed whether it is sold as a Restricted model with the factory barrel, or a Non-Restricted model with a longer aftermarket barrel installed.

This is not an Epps matter, but a CFO ruling. If you have questions or concerns about this practice, please feel free to discuss the matter with your MP, or with the CFO directly. This notice was simply posted to advise all potential buyers of the pending delays to transfers for this rifle.

Thanks for letting everyone know Epps! :)

Guys, the CFO is just doing their job. You can't blame them.

Now that you've got steam coming from your ears, I'll qualify that comment: They're making paperwork to ensure they have jobs. It's what governments do. :p

looks pretty sweet, and if i had not just spent 400 in vet bills today i would order one, but bills before guns.
soon she will be mine, oh yes she will be mine.

A little off topic, but I noticed on the JR Carbine website that the mag well can be changed or fitted for other mags. Would it be possible to get one to take S&W 59xx mags?

Are these Carbine mags made for the gun or do they utilise pistol mags?

Seems to me if they use pistol mags then it's a fault with the FRT listing rather than with the gun. I guess the mags would have to be sold separately though.

That is such BS from the CFO.

I'd be filing a complaint if it were my rifle.

What if you bought a glock mag when purchasing a 10/22, who that sale be subject to CFO review?

I bought one on Saturday so they told me they can't ship til Tuesday ...... who cares ?? the 3 gun shoot isn't for a month.

It could be a problem for locals.
I'd hate to drive up to Orillia at about 10$ and and one half hours one way simply to be told to come back once the CFO has approved it.
The solution would be to order in advance and come pick it up when approved.
Still, one more hoop from the make-work department.

.40 and .45 jr carbines

hi , is there any plan to bring in a .45acp version of the jc carbines? and for that matter the .40sw version

what mag will the ,45acp take? i was hoping for one that accepts
mp45 mags?

thanks

I do not understand.
A 9mm out a sub-2000 should still be able to kill pop cans, no?;)

When receivers for them made of real materials become available, I might change my opinion.

Here are some pics comparing the Sub 9 to the Sub 2000

After looking at them, which one would you rather have? C'mon now, be honest. :D

Are these guns non restricted? On Epps website I see a Restricted symbol beside them when I was looking or am I missing something.
