Judgemental Hunters

I think it's particularly true of people who are new to internet hunting forums.
Once you've paid your dues, you get to read about how people in different areas of the country hunt, you realise that there are good reasons for their hunting methods. (Well, most of 'em  )

aha. man this thread is priceless.

And I agree with the one post about the car nuts not getting their fast cars that kill more people then gun's do in Canada for that matter by legal, ethical hunters taken away. What flippin harm do legal hunters cause.. notta... NWO people.

It's BS. I could rant.. but why ruin the funny vibe that this thread has twisted into lolz

But ya, back on topic.

If the hunt and kill is ethical and legal. Then who the hell else's business is it to say anything about it? jealousy perhaps?

No offense, but I think you missed the point here since ethical or not is just a difference of opinions at most of the time as long as its legal.

"Ethical" is an opinion that is divided by region and demographic...
The term is what devicdes us more than the idea it represents

For every example of "unethical behavior" in hunting there is another area where the same behavoir is acceptable, encouraged and normal. If you want to stay on your high horse its best to stay in your own backyard. Otherwise it gets a little complicated.;)

People shouldn't be judgmental unless they are discussing running shots which, as we all know but some won't admit, is the highest risk to wound shot there is in any hunting scenario.

If you practice at moving targets and can consistantly hit them, have at it.

A lot of people(hunters) have a hard time recognizing their limitations.

If a hunter practices shooting at 500yards and feels comfortable taking game at that distance, go for it.

Its the guys thatr sight in their 30-30 at fifty yards ,once a year with two rounds and try to shoot game at 300 that I have a problem with!!!!!

We can not judge peoples abilities over the internet. I think we should remember to give OUR OWN opinions instead of BASHING someone elses!

Sounds like a "JUDGEMENTAL" statement to me

Course there's guys that'll sit in a heated box & shoot a deer in a corn field & call that hunting

But I guess that too is "judgemental" :p

I like a man with common sense & intelligence

So what we're looking for here is a group of people (mostly men) who go about their own business and keep their own council and simply support everyone else who engages in the same activity regardless of how or what that other individual does? They should utter no negative comment or even harbour a contrary opinion and collectively defend the actions of the group or those of the individuals associated with the group. That sounds like union talk. Is Buzz online trying to drum up new work?

Ike

What part of that did you not get?????

We can disagree. But instead of slamming the guy, bring forth evidence to support your own opinion.

Going by " I DONT DO IT, SO IT MUST BE WRONG/UNETHICAL" just doesn't hold water. Its a WENDY stratagy

!

Exactly,

Guns and hunting are a senstivie topic in Canada no matter where you go and having hunters critiquing other hunters (especially over the net) is as counter productive as we can get.

Shooting from prone, sitting, kneeling , standing, at an animal who is laying down, standing still, walking or running with one two or three or four shots is the way hunting goes.

There's a few Captain Deadly's here on Nutz who spend more time in the bush than they do at home, but for the most part I'm guessing we are all part of a working class that allows us to a limited amount of time in the bush. That limited time does not allow us to be ready for every situation, but the experience we collect over the years sure helps as time goes on, but never gets us ready for everything.

I'm betting there's a few guys who won't post because of the ridicule and critque that follow every story.

Too bad we don't have a troll alert:evil: Wait now, that's why we hired Bone- Collector isn't it?:shotgun:
