July 2013 Purchases

Picked up a Norwegian M1895 Krag cavalry carbine from a board member, made at Kongsberg in 1899. It's mismatched, has had the rear sling swivel moved and been refinished at some point, but how many military configuration Norwegian Krags do you see? Looking forward to shooting it once I can load up some appropriately mild 6.5x55.

Picked up a few more Mausers.

Top to bottom:

1) byf44 ZF41, not truly purchased this month, I got the receiver a coupl months ago and completed the build this month.

2) matching ce43 vet bringback.

3) 42 code 1938 Mauser-Oberndorf. Stock mis-match, but otherwise matching.

4) JP Sauer & Sohn 147-code, 1939. Yugo capture. Interesting story, I owned it around 10 years ago (bought freshly imported through P&S), stupidly sold it when I needed cash, and I found it for sale at the local gun shop yesterday (!). Probably went through a few hands before getting back to me, but none the worse of wear :) Small world, full of coincidences!

Nice little bubba MkII Ross project, probably be my bush rifle this fall.

I have a soft spot for Ross sporters apparently. Its no wonder with stocks like that though! I have one more on the way too, though it will probably be a August arrival.

Just received my Lever Arms Bulgarian (not German as advertised) Star Model B, which I'm quite satisfied with. Good markings, nice bore, overall a great deal!

Also bought from a friend a C Broad Arrow and red banded Remington M1917 Enfield in very decent shape. Mismatched Remington bolt, Eddystone safety, but otherwise in very good nick!

Last month i picked up a all matching NZ marked 1901 BSA MLE Mk1* complete with a 4 '01 dated P'88 bayonet & a NZ marked sling.

This month i picked up a NZ marked 1901 BSA MLE Mk1* complete with a 4 '01 dated P'88 bayonet .
