Both will be treated to full wood restore, and will be my range shooters. Nothing fancy, just want to make them look like they did back when.

Picked up a decent 98/05 bayonet (1917 Alex Coppel Solingen) for go with my Kar98A carbine and although not strictly a milsurp, I picked up an ex-police (circa 1994) Beretta 96D Centurion with Trijicon night sights. Factory DAO trigger is glass-smooth - very manageable.

FWIW, the Centurion has a 107mm barrel and looks to be about the shortest-bbl .40 you can get in Canada :)

I got my IZZY sniper, refurb but very very nice condition.

The rifle in box, wrapped in a brown paper.

1944 Ishevsk,as far as i saw, alls parts appear to be Ishevsk,no electro pencil on the rifle.

Various factory stamps are still visible on the stock.

Many tools marks on scope mount base. The base is a tiny bit farther foward than on my sniper clone.

IMG_0836.jpg

Markings on the receiver wall that are not present on my sniper clone.
IMG_0827.jpg

The bent bolt is smoother than my clone, no grinding mark appear.
IMG_0828.jpg

The bore is excellent, like new condition.

Tools and oiler.
IMG_0840.jpg

The scope was wrapped in a thick waxed paper.
IMG_0833.jpg

Scope made at "progress" (Leningrad plan) in 1942
IMG_0834.jpg

Glass are nice and clear.
IMG_0838.jpg

scope have been refurb at some time. Turrets work perfect.
IMG_0835.jpg

Overall,a very nice rifle.
IMG_0839.jpg

The rifle is quite different from my clone, the bolt handle, finish on the stock. They are refurb yes but i do believe they are real sniper and honestly at that price with wartime optic, was too good deal to pass on. I hope to have some time soon for range testing.

thanks the repro scope i bought wasnt calibrated like yours it was just in clicks, that was the biggest let down for me on the typical repro snipers .that being said i would have kept mine if the bore looked like yours and was calibrated.beauty rifle well worth the xtra bucks

I purchased this numbers matching 1938 J.P. Sauer & Sohn of off the EE. Absolutely beautiful, untouched piece of history. I have been looking for one for quite some time and my number finally came up! Sorry but my camera is not the best.

The scope on my sniper clone is a repro made in Ukraine and calibrated exactly like the original one on my sniper. The repro scope from Ukraine are exact copy except that they use flat screws on turrets unlike real PU that have rounded screw. A guy on Gunboard, successfully rebuilt a PU scope using parts from an Ukraine copy. All the internals are exact fit.
