Hey folks ..... :)

Ok, so technically it arrived yesterday, but I didn't open the package until today which makes it officially a July purchase..... :D

I hustled claven2 in a trade, by sending him a dirty old Mauser beater with a sewer pipe bore, for this little beauty.....

Happy Canada Day to everyone ....... :)

Gee, thanks for sending my that POS of an unissued Mauser for that rickety old Garand ;)

So far this month I've taken delivery of a Nice Nagant Revolver (non-import marked and made just ONE year too late to be an antique in Canada (1899) DAMNIT! lol...

Pics in the MKB...

Also, a refurbed byf44 K98k and the much alluded to unissued M1908 Brazillian Mauser in 7x57 with bayonet and sling.

Here's the byf44 (ie, Mauser Oberndorf 1944 production) - I think it's an early post-war East German rebuild as it's a total mixmaster and later EG refurbs were force-matched. In any event, it's like new with a perfect bore. All ww2 era parts except for the post-war front sight protector.

Oh, and also picked up a folding VZ58 stock for my VZ58S. But hey, the month is only 3 days old, there's lots of time for me to get more stuff ;)

Another K98k... well... sorta. This is a matching 1939 Erma Werke action with Herters J9 hinged bottom metal that will one day be my .275 Rigby blaster. Got it this week. Sadly not worth restoring as it would be a total mixmaster not worth the sum of its parts :( Sad that someone bubba'd this gun though as it looks to have been a vet bringback at one point! Nothing is renumbered, no evidence of refurb, no pinged chickens...

No, its not...

Apparently there are a lot of hoodlums packing BP revolvers lately:rolleyes:

Then, you would indeed be bustin' a (#10 or #11 - depending on your nipple choice) cap.

I will continue the K98 parade. This is a BYF 44 that is all matching except the bolt, which matches itself. I got it off of a fellow CGN mauserphile and it is in great shape. Could be a vet bringback with the bolt config but who knows.

I managed to find a '43 dated F.N. manufactured K98 barrel to replace on my BCD 43 Double claw project. It's the identically marked twin of my pitted barrel save for an E.German sun proof.

Problem will be getting it to both index AND headspace. Hope it works out, abot 1 in 5 chances...

I have been thinking of buying one of those.....for the wife

I bought this month a Finnish M27 Tikka 1933 and a Finnish M39 Sako 1944, a new 1895 Nagant Tula 1910, and a Steyr-Hahn Chilean Contract Model 1911/1912.

No M27 pic yet
