jumbo head safety

Need your advice:
1- Is replacing the factory safety with a jumbo one worthwhile? Are there good reasons to do it or is it just a waste of money?

2- If yes, which one is best, wilson's or vang's? Which one do you use?

Help me decide !

Just don't attempt to comibine your jumbo head safety with a Knoxx stock.

Vang comp I found too be way to big, but the Wilson Combat one is very nice and yes DONT use with Knoxx stocks!!!!!!

I've got the Vang Comp on my 870. I like it with my TSA M4 adaptor. Haven't tried it on a field stock but I think I might pick one up for my brother's 11-87 for him to try during goose season.

Had the wilson.....sold them. Replaced them with the Vang oversized safety........Very happy I switched.

I found that the Vang could be disengaged inadvertently, so I've stuck with the (Wilson Combat) Scattergun Technologies safety. And - don't believe everything you read - the Knoxx SpecOps works just fine with it.

Either Wolverine or The Shooting Edge may have them. They are also available from Brownells.
