Milsurp cherry popin action here...my first. Savage Lee Enfield purchased from a CGN member. Lets hope its a good shooter.

Looks nice! I assume we have another shooter for our EOHC Fall Milshoot. ;)

No.4MkI 1950 Long Branch

Got this one from a Québec's resident.
All matching, all blued, excellent mirror bore and chamber. :)
Now, I think the rear sight was replaced with an older F marked one with the screw actuated elevator.
Is the original sight a pushbutton one or is the other type correct, too?
I know some say the older type is better for shooting but should I put the right one back on for authenticity sake?

PP.

Gibbs505, it looks better in person! I handled it last time I was there. Bubble pack eh, what scale is it in? Does it work, or display piece?
Thanks desporterizer, always a concern although Epps has a very good rep!

Hey Klunk - where's the armored shielding? (hint: CS has a set)

Duhhh....I dont THINK the Finns used armour sheilds....?....did they?

The tripod has several 'mystery' brackets on the forward edge...one is for the uber rare AA tripod leg...the others....dun know

I would make one outa plexiglass and paint it up....the fukcin thing already weighs 210+++pds

Another Russian Tula 55/56 vaccumed up by yours truely.
It does not appear to be refurbed since it's missing the stamps but
the black bolt is strange.

In any case its fully matching, no electro used and bore is mirror (not counterbored)

It's a refurb spec. ALL Laminate stocked SKS's out of Russia are refurbs as all the originals (ALL) had arctic birch prior to the refurb program, as well as bright bolts and bayonets.

Not all refurbs are marked as such.

Nevertheless, nice rifle. Non-refurb Rooskie SKS' are not exactly easy to locate.
