Mine is an ROF 10/45, wooden fore end
S8###, accurate little rifle.
I have mounted an S&K no drill mount and topped it off with a Leupold 2x7.
Waiting for an unsnowy day to see what shoots best. I had good accuracy with the irons and Sierra 174 HPBT Match bullets.

I have two.
Both with wood ends.

#1 ) mismatch with Indian issued stocks.
11/44 ROF(F) - C 66XX barrel/receiver ...B 48XX - bolt/mag/stocks.
Came with S&K mount and glass bedded forestock . Great shooter out to 100yd .
Call it my "Mini T". :D
Photo'd with spare butt stock

#2 ) all matching.
3/47 (F) - Z 74XX- accuracy unknown ...safe queen so far.

My No5 looks like the one with the scope, except that I didn't want to drill holes in the stock, so the cheekpiece is a no go. It has the same S&K no drill mount but has a Leupold 2x7 sitting on top.

The "sniper" stock on mine is a spare which was also in need of repair...no probs putting the cheekpiece on that one.

Have no idea what ###'s are but this is my great hunting companion and great shooter too. About 2" at 100 yards with open sights and factory ammo. Great feel and handling. I am not at home so I can't check what numbers and where. And honestly - why bother? If a good piece comes across you will know it. Follow your heart

Faz, with metal nosecap. Not at home, so can't check the date, but I THINK it was 1/46 or 1/47??? S/N Z14xx. And yes, I am enough of a geek to have the serial numbers of more than half of my firearms memorized!

Mine is a Beauty,Metal cap No5 MKI ROF (F)
II/46 Y 3---
Bought it at a Gun Show several years ago because it was soo minty and I think every Canadian should own a 303 Enfield.
Accuracy ? Don't know as I use scopes on all my rifles and this one is a Safe Queen.
Don't know how to post pics but will e-mail one to you if you know how.

I'll check mine when at home. Shoots well and accurately, but haven't put a lot of rounds through it yet.
What do you mean by wood or metal fore-end?
