How do they compare to the mosin m38 or m44 for kick? I'm assuming their butt plate is skinnier... but it's also missing that lovely mosin steel butt plate edge I've come to know and love
They kick about the same actually, both are not very comfortable rifles to shoot. Mossin (carbine lenght) does kick a little snappier than JC. That steel butt plate on mosins - I think it was originally put there to wack enemies ( I am serious) in a hand fight when both sides run out of ammo. Not to protect rifle or make shooting comfortable. I actually got my first scope bite from mossin. The major diference between two rifles is accuracy, JC is like a sniper rifle compared to Mosin-Nagant in that regard.
