I think it's too heavy for him to hunt with this year but he'll use it on gophers and we'll take it from there.

I told him I would match whatever he managed to save to put towards a rifle. Good idea, except his younger brother has already started saving and researching what he wants in 3 years and he's a fricken South paw so unless it's a pump or a lever...

That door swings both ways man! There are one or two items in the locker he won't get to hunt unless he learns to shoot regular.

Get him to learn right hand! I was left handed but I taught myself right hand and am very happy with my decision, way more selection!

Really great to see a young lad enjoying himself at the range with 'his' new rifle. It gets me looking forward to my sons being older.
