I am really thinking of getting one of these to have use, and shoot, it would not be just a paper weight!
What is the scoop on reloading and or buying ammo for them no one seems to carry anyting, are they band? can you get it?
The reason I ask is because i simply do not know.
The gun store i deal with carries the rifles, but can not get ammo.
Ammo to me seems to be the issue vs teh rifle its self.
Any sound advice one can suggest?

Load your own . It's the only way to go . The projectiles of choice are the Hornady A-Max and if you can find them the Barnes LRS

Your choice of presses are very limited. The RCBS Ammomaster II ( NOT the same as the Ammomaster ) and Hornady . The Hornady is a Ammomaster II that RCBS makes for them. I have not seen or used the Lee so I can't comment

Die choices are RCBS, Lee , Hornady. I use the RCBS and have been very happy with them .

You should also buy the RCBS ram prime unit

If you have not done much loading the 50Cal is NOT the place to start.

The Shooting Edge has components including primers ( CCI No 35s ) > Powder you can get anywhere

I have tried Hodgon 50BMG and US 869 . The smaller stores will not have these powders since its pretty limited in application

Here is some 50Cal ammo #### to encourage you

For a size comparison you see the 5.56 , 7.62 and 338 Lapua.

To give you an idea on the size, the loading tray seen below is a 12Ga shotshell tray !
