But, with the "fiscal constraints" imposed on MNR's field staff, they're lucky
to be able to budget for gas for the CO's cruisers, let alone helicopter time to fly transects for the bio's !

Maybe that's why we're getting "mail-in" questionnaires at our cost to return them ???

Is this a reason to #### in our own cornflakes and not fill out a mandatory report at a cost of 10 minutes and a 50 cent stamp????

if your lucky and have a MNR building in your town you can drop it off there without a stamp

I didn't get a questionnaire, but I handed in my hide and had my interview with the MNR dude.
Here's how it went:
<MNR dude>"What did you shoot?
<me>"A Button Buck" -- he had nubs that were still hidden by his hair
<MNR dude>"You shot a fawn" -- kind of a nasty tone about it
Anyway, then he asked where I shot it.
I pointed to the square on a map where I shot my deer.
Then I told him what day.
Then I got my crest and I left.

Does anyone know how the MNR combines the hide collection data
with these mail-in surveys?

cripes im glad i reread this thread ..after i recieved my questionaires..i read them ......posted this thread.....then set them aside unfilled out..

I do not know if MNR is serious about the surveys returns as one of our group has never mailed in his survey for the controlled hunt ( black powder) and he gets a tag every year? Oh by the way BR that is 37 years.
