Maybe instead of doing all that work at night you should have just pissed all over him and maybe even left a coiler for good measure and came back the next day.

Even after passing through both shoulder blades, the slug still weighed 206gr, not too bad for a more budget minded bullet, the slower velocity likely helps there too.

....as for the soiling of game, I think I will pass, with Nuggets moose we heard something wandering around in the bush while we were cutting it up in the darkness. Next thing we knew, I was standing sentry with the 9,3 while the Butcher slaved away..
