the only slings I would ever use are the blue force gear Vcas sling sling o ra single point.
all of my shotguns othere then my Benelli M4 are short, but I fun a Vcas on all my other guns and my ben m4

Yeah, the gray is great. I was stoked when they finally released it for shotguns.
No sling, my setup is pretty modest. Just the MOE, SGA and oversized safety.

The big plus about the magpul forend is that you can mount a short section of rail at the 3, 6, or 9 O'clock positions and add a light of your choice.

Yes you're right the Magpul slot system is great for attaching accessories. I just don't use the accessories that would be used there on my 590.
Although I do have a MVG on my 870s Magpul forend. Which I definitely prefer on that gun.
 
You use the Mvg as a hand slide stop or actual grip?

I found most of my parts. I'm only now debating is I want to swap my little bushnell red dot onto it.

The Mesa sidesaddle can be purchased from a few places. Local to me, are Wanstalls and DS tactical.
You have to think about capacity though. At 8 rounds, you can't use a single point mount at the receiver and butt stock. The two extra rounds extend too far. For me I went with 8 to double capacity. 8 in tube and eight in saddle. Plus with a 20" barrel I knew a single point would be very cumbersome.

The front sling mount is magpul. And it's awesome. It's metal, compact and offers two sling mount solutions. You can clip into ring or use bolt hardware and then use the quick disconnect attachments. My qd swivel is made by mesa tactical again.
 
I bought it locally at reliable gun. I've found 870 kit is easier to find. However, 590 stuff usually has variety of colour.

I had already purchased it for this 590a1. I may have picked up a second 590a1 off the exchange for the grey. :cool:

It's got another mesa 8 Round shell holder and I picked up 2 magpul front sling mounts as they are so damn hard to find.

Thanks. I had to shorten the LOP on the butt stock to be able to shoulder it with the two point. Not something I though would have been an issue until I was dry firing.
