Just bought a Benelli M4 CQB 14....MOSS 500 Pics added today!

P90PUMA, I called Dlask a few days ago about a 14" for my Supernova Tactical, they told me it would be about $600

Thanks man, good to know if I decide to pursue it further, the mag tube would need to be modified too, so might be more then 600$ for me.

I have no plans to make my m4 restricted right now, but maybe in the future. I just got it, and it is minty fresh. Only plans are mesa tactical side saddle, sling and maybe a light+mount.

Mag tube should not have to modified to go to 14" barrel. You will simply remove that hideous spacer/thingy that is threaded to the mag tube that the M4 ships with to limit it to five rounds. This is the then the correct mag tube length for the 14"barrel.

Here are pics of a few of my shotguns. The new M4 CQB is also here.

very nice

Sorry my mistake....in that case, yes it will have to be modified.

Yep, for a 10.5 or so barrel, I have heard that you can cut the mag tube down, and cut a few coils of spring off, so it will hold 4 rounds.

Unfortunately in Canada, cutting the barrel down would be a no-no, IIRC... Even from a 14" one (I know, really lame...)

I would love to get a 10.5" barrel, even if it meant cutting the mag tube down shorter. You end up using the mag cap/barrel retainer on the handguard hanger, and use a rubber O-ring to prevent it from loosening under recoil. I guess you could always thread it for Remmington 870 threads and use a 1+ extension to get the capacity up to 5 in the tube...

Hence the question for manufacturing a barrel of length 10.75", DLASK and other have done it for the 870 in Canada.

Seen.

Unfortunatly the M4 is quite a bit more complex than the 870. The barrel extension with the ejector frame, the gas block (needing the gas ports to be lined up exactly, then brazed in place perfectly), the handguard hanger, and the front sight, all need to be brazed on. Im not sure if you could get these parts from Benelli, and make your own jigs or not. Im sure they could be simplified down a bit...

The factory M4 barrels go for 950-1000 dollars in the USA, and thats on setup equipment already... To make a very few of them is going to easily cost over half of buying a new M4.

re

yes, if you were able to find a Benelli OEM 14" barrel you would be "good to go".....however......you would be better off buying 649 tickets as the chances to win are better than finding the barrel:) I have seen these barrels in the US going for well over $1000 USD....and they are few and far between even in the US.
