Yeah, finally was able to buy myself a LH 22 :)

It a CZ 457 american with the 20" barrel.

Thinking that I should buy a yodave trigger kit, also maybe a bolt shim kit after I check on what the headspace is.

Have access to a couple kinds of ammo, 2 kinds of SK and also CCI SV in 50 rd cardboard boxes.

Undecided on what I should go for a scope, and rings.

Anything else be good to do for upgrades?

Glad to see another lefty :).

I just got a B14R myself in LH.

The CZ was on my list but I also own a B14 HMR in 6.5CM so owning an effectively identically proportioned trainer in 22LR was a big draw for me.

I can tolerate RH guns in most action types, but bolt action is the one I'll splurge on.

Very nice. Is it the regular barrel or varmint ? I’d love to see a picture! I’m thinking my T1x could use a friend .

I did YO Dave trigger springs and they are great! An if you need it the bolt shim kits a good option!

If you can find it try ELEY i know a few guys at our comps had CZ rifles that loved club and team. Either way get th ammo you have, get to the range and bring us a report.

I totally agree and did the exact same thing with my T3X and T1X they are identical.

Also a good looking rifle.

Yes, I do have a couple boxes of Eley the I had bought at my local CT.

For sure! It's my first LH 22 so super excited! :D

My cz and most of the one i see really like lapua stuff, sk standard plus is my go to ammo, and yodave spring make a huge difference.

Nice find. I have a 452 Varmint and wish I would have gone with a left hand action. I am a righty but like the idea of racking the bolt with my left to keep my right hand on the grip and trigger. All my shooting is on the bench and feel I have to get everything square again between shots. I have a Rifle Basix trigger with a wide shoe installed but I had a yodave kit in another rifle and the pull was just as good for money spent. I shoot cci standard most of the time but tried out some norma target and almost beat the 0.5” challenge but I had one shot go wide which was probably me. Hawke makes nice scopes as well as the bushnell prime and engage sf models. All depends on how much you want to spend. I picked up a cheap tasco 6-24 varmint for mine which works much better than I was expecting so am happy enough with it benched in a rest at 50 yrds. I have not bedded it would like to find someone to do it for me though.

Yeah, I do know on another LH, remington 788, guys liked it to do that.

The CZ arrived! :D

Couple things that I noticed. Bolt, going to need a slight polish, kinda rough and gritty out of the box. Looking at the flat on the underside their are machine marks. Probably going to go with some metal polish and dremel and smooth it a bit.
I like that their is a cocking indictor that they painted red, very easy to check.

Stock is stained quite a dark brown, almost a blackish color. Nice, I think lazer cut checkering. Barrel cost threaded and capped to a nurled screw.
Trigger looks to be ajustable out of the box, looks like it doesn't need to be taken out of the stock to ajust.

Very nice! I just cut a trade deal on a RH CZ455 Super Match; also a 20" barrel. On my Brno Mod 2 (452) Lux I mounted an inexpensive "Shorty Forty"; pretty good with easy focus, parallax adjustment, fine cross-hairs and mill dot reticle (but it's no Zeiss). The reason I went with this scope is that it fit on the rifle with low mounts so I don't need a cheek-riser and is short enough that it does not interfere with the Tangent sight.

Since the Super Match has a simple folding rear sight, scope size will be less of an issue. Also, being shorter, a larger, heavier scope should not cause me any issues weight and Ballance wise.

I watched a couple of videos looking at barrel tuners. While they had little if any measurable effect on "warm barrel" groups, in almost all cases, they did reduce or eliminate the effects of cold-bore fliers; I may try one, depending on how it shoots.

As scopes go, there are lots of good ones to choose from. I'm happy with the Riton Primal I put on my Zastava 6.5, and would consider one for my new rifle. Time will tell. :)
