just bought a new savage

NightForce 5.5-22X56 NXS Np-R1 reticle. It only hurts once. Buy one that doesn't cut the mustard and it hurts twice.
What caliber?

Leupold

I absolutely love my Leupold 6.5x20x50mm ER/T with Hors 58 Reticle... A little on the expensive side at $3000 taxes in but worth every penny.

what do you guys think about Millet scopes, they seem a little inexpensive for what they do, compared to the major names

i have a millett trs-2 4-16x50 tactical turrets illuminated mildot ret scope.

LOVE IT! it was 400 bucks. well worth the money for budget shooters. yeah theres better probably. but it has everything i wanted it for. 20 magnification was too much for me. 16 is enough.

it was hard to find in ATAC camo as i use it for my savage which is in ATACS camo also also. but it works a dream. no blurryness really. a touch a full magnif but what do you expect for 400 bucks. the illum ret is handy and fun to have. turrets turn well and work solid with hard use. it is a all round good scope for the money. the only let down i will say for this scope is its weight. its a heafty mother. but trust me you wont be dissapointed.

Millet's are inexpensive for a reason. Spend the extra and at least get a Sightron. I've had 2 so far and see more in the future, excellent scope at a great price. I've "been there done that" with cheap scopes and it's true, it takes a rich man to buy cheap #### and I'm by no means rich. Hindsight is always 20/20......

Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 BDC, less than $600 and a great scope for the money. I have had one for several years and it is one of my favourites.

I've been shooting a Viper 6.5-20x50 with a v-plex reticle for about a year now. For the price I doubt you can get anything better. It tracks fine and finds its zero every time. The glass is OK and the reticle is alittle think. Normal for any scope in its price range.

I won't bite at that one. It was advice from my experience. I don't see what's wrong with millet??.... Have you owned the scope I mentioned?

What's your experience? It's cool because it has the same cammo pattern as your rifle? This stuff is Chinese junk, flip the damn thing upside down and read.....nuff said. There is opportunity to purchase Japanese and European glass for under a grand. If you can't afford to spend an amount equivalent to the price of the rifle, on your scope, you're already over budget.
