Hey all, I just bought a Norinco Np-22 from Marstar (they finally got their shipment in) and I was wondering how many magazines would the gun come with? I am assuming 1 but two would be nice.

Does anybody know for sure?

thanks

I've also bought and received my NP22 in the mail yesterday but have a question about it. There was a an L-shaped metal bar and sorta looking metal punch(pointed) that came in the box. Just wondering what these pieces are for?

thanks,
Dan

Deckard - my pistol came with one magazine, serial numbered to the pistol, and engraved with the number 2. The box has a spot for an additional magazine. I can only assume that there was a magazine numbered 1 when the pistol was shipped from China. There is no other possible explanation for a magazine serialed to the pistol, plus the number 2. There must have been a magazine 1. The obvious conclusion is that the other magazine was sold separately.

The rod has a hole in it for the cleaning patch.

I've had 2 new 'rinco handguns from them - and that's my complaint too.....they are imported with 2 mags - one vanishes before shipping to a customer.

My 1911C came with both mags in the box. They were both serialed to the gun with an electric engraver, just like the barrel is.

I bought from another distributor.

The stupid thing is that one of them is parkerized like the pistol and the other is blued.

Based on my experience with the one magazine that accompanied my pistol, a second one would not have been a bonus. The aftermarket which I had on hand was much superior, and I've ordered more. Certainly would not buy more of the original magazines.
Some sellers routinely strip out bonus items that accompany goods from the factory, and sell them separately. This sometimes happens when, for example, a promotional scope accompanies a rifle.

DAVE GP;
Would you kindly inform me how you arrive at the claim that "they are imported with 2 mags - one vanishes before shipping to a customer." ??
Obviously you are priviledged to some inside information at the factory that has not been released to us during our numerous conversations.
I look forward to hearing from you

WOBBLES 99;
I will ask you the same question I asked XMAN
the price and warrantee, how do they compare with ours ?
John

Actually it does compare. I may have paid more for the gun by a little but I happened to get great customer service, by which I mean they answered my initial email about what 1911's they had in stock within 24 hours. They showed me their entire stock and explained the pro's and con's of each without pressuring me to buy anything. They answered every stupid question I had. They walked me through my ATT application so it would be at my house before my pistol. They added a trigger lock and then a case with a lock since the trigger lock wouldn't fit in the stock norinco case wouldn't fit the gun with a lock on it. They discounted my ammunition purchase. they stand behind what they sell by 100%, I can only assume this on my 1911 as I have never had issues with it but they have backed this up on other purchases from them.

I'd also like to point out that I had tried to buy the same pistol from marstar previously. I did not recieve any reply after two emails, including one marked please respond. I also did receive a reply to an email about putting a deposit down on another m305 and was assured that even without money I would be contacted when they arrive to purchase one. I was never contacted. I have even been fair enough to continue to try to do business with you even though you seem not to give a #### about an order from me.

I would rather pay more for a product from someone else thank you.

BTW originally I was not slagging Marstar. I was simply stating the fact that my 1911 came with two mags.

John

I got mine about four years ago and I paid $499 at Lever. I don't remember anything about the warranty as I never needed to use it.

WOBBLES99;
I will not even attempt to go over the e mail question again, this has been covered at least half a dozen times.

There ARE problems with some IPs blocking messages containing firearms related words.... That is one of the reasons we offer a toll free line that coveres all of Canada, the US, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and most of Central America. So use it.

As for the dealer in question, I am happy that you found one to your satisfaction, after all that is what a free market system is all about.

With regards to your M-305 rifle, please let me know the date you requested
to be placed on the list, I will review this myself and advise.... We are just about finished clearing the backlog.
Regards
John
