just bought my first gun, so I might as well start my first thread!

I notice in your signature it says you had to do interviews?

Is that for restricted or something? I didn't have to do interviews, but I only got a PAL. I'm going for my RPAL soon.

Here's mine with the Choate Dragunov stock. I eventually plan to scope it, as this is my bubba SKS.

My Chinese Type 56 will be my good one, with no mods, and I plan to get another Russian with a laminate stock which I hope will have less Cosmoline in it.

I've already exercised my right and bought a .22 pistol!

Welcome! Also from 'the island' here. Middle of the island, Alberni Valley to be exact.

You know, I recently found out that there are at least a couple pistols you can buy with a non-restricted license. One's a .22, the other Colt 45. Level action pistols. Apparently they were classified as non-restricted because normal operation requires the extra hand to operate the action, while the other holds the pistol. Both are Mare's Legs replicas.

The SKS quickly became my #1 'fun gun'.
