Just bought my little walking rig....

In the fall, what i like to do the most, is a walk in the field looking in the wood ( so many Grouse and occasional coyote )@ our Ontario farm house, just got from Wantsalls a Savage model 42 22lr/410 as my new walking stick... JP.

My uncle has had one of those for years. They're really handy, it's taken many porcupines.

Can you really have to many rifles or shotguns those are like flyes for fly fisherman... JP.

I love my savage 22mag/20ga for gousing duties (and wish that the new 42's came in a 20ga option). I never leave the house without a few slugs, you never know what you might run up against in the trails.

The way i see it 5 or 6 rounds of Stingers is i see a coyote, 4 or 5 shells of 410 3 inch in 7.5 for grouses, 2 shells of 2.5 inch 410 slugs for trouble, that should cover all for a nice stroll allong the woods... JP.

I'm looking at getting one of those currently as well. Was playing with one in the store the other day and the build quality is much better than I expected from seeing pictures online.
