just bought my tags

So for just under $150 tax included I got a few tags

Wildlife certificate (rabbits)
1 x Antlered Mulie Deer
1 x Antlered or Antlerless WhiteTail Deer
2 x Suplemental Antlerless Whitetail Deer
1 x Black Bear

and I forgot to get my upland game bird for grouse I'll have to get that later

so I'm off hunting tommorrow

I'll be getting an Elk tag later as well I think, but no moose as its on the draw in the zones I normaly hunt.

Have a nice hunt. For information only, one does not need a wildlife certificate - or a WIN for that matter - to hunt rabbits or hares in the Province of Alberta.

Are Mule Deer not on draw in your zone as well?

no I was in 349 last wekend, mulie bucks were open along with whitetails

when I go to 510 then mulies are on the draw.

Oh and we got 2 deer, but I'm really disapointed with the logging going on, they are destroying the old trail networks (from logging in the '40 and '50s) and any cutlies they logg over are gone. When they are done logging an area they are then destroying all the haul roads. getting hard to get around in that area.

Really annoys me that they are doing this as I spent a lot of time as a forester and there were a lot of wasted days trying to get into areas that were previously logged to do surveys and layout any second pass and blowdown salvage cuts.

Not a problem if the logging was done prior to the '80s, they left the logging roads and trails open and getting around was never a problem in these older areas, but now they tear up all the trails.
