Just Curious- FN FAL

Around the same time they passed similar law in Argentina practicly banning all military looking rifles. Gun control is aglobal phenomenon directed by UN
 
I thought the FAL was prohibited because all variants are easily converted to automatic in less than 15 min. I also had the understanding that there was never a variant made that was not significantly different in design from the automatic versions.

They are an amazing rifle, I wish I could own one, but sadly I will never be able to with our archaic gun laws. It will always be on my firearm wish list.

Nope to the first. They were prohibited at the same time as all the other semi-autos, for the same reason--> Liberals hate guns.

Nope to the second. The Belgium semi-auto match models were not milled for the auto sear, and are similar to the semi-auto versions being sold in the US now. Converting those to auto would not be a trivial task.
 
Heres an idea , everyone grab their prohibs , however many they can carry , march on parliament and tell em that your not leaving until they amend the prohibited list for reasons of "liberal sandus vaginus infectus"

Ha I'm sure they would love that, easier to melt them all down if everyone brings them in for collection :p
