Sig p229, quarter inch barrel protrusion. Don't look bad at all to me. Good luck finding one...listed in stock at lots of stores, but no one has em. If you see one, act quickly.

ive got enough sigs for now... the 229 isnt all that much smaller than the 226...still feels big.

How is it possible to have too many Sig's? Surely you mock me my fellow thespian. Sorry, had to throw that in.

Your absolutely right the 229 can maybe be considered the compact version of a large gun. They kinda weigh in like a brick. But if you do a side by side comparison you can definitely see the size difference.

British Bulldog in .450 (or .455?) is pretty small... and as an antique, not prohibited :)

I saw some berettas .22s at dlask with 105mm barrels. they are ugly as ####, but pretty small. for me, the coolest smallest gun I can legally own would be a glock 27 with a 105mm barrel.

Yeah, but it's a collectible antique status Remington Derringer. The barrel is too short normally, but because it's in ridiculous .41 rim-fire and from the black powder era, it doesn't become Prohibited. Not a very practical or cheap answer to the OP's question.

any chance anyone here has a m&p9c or glock 26 with a canadian length barrel or threaded barrel?
and if so please post pics and maybe a ruler next to the barrel sticking out ...only post if you are sure its legal length... not trying to incriminate anyone just trying to get a idea of what i may buy since no local shops stock either of these.

storm lakes threaded barrel is listed at 4.28" which is 108.712mm for the m&p or 106 mm "canadian barrel"
and for the glock threaded 105.664mm... does that make it canadian legal or is it 106mm or longer? reading the law it says 105mm and under... but this is just over 105

"s.12(6): handguns with a barrel length of 105 mm or less or that discharge .25 or .32 calibre ammunition. On licences issued on or after April 10, 2005, these firearms will be referred to as 12(6.1) firearms."

You read the Law correctly; it is exactly 105mm or less. If it's 105-point-something, the Registration Certificate will round it up to 106.

If a Verifier is measuring a barrel and it comes up something like 105,01mm he'll probably measure it twenty-two times until he gets one that's under, so he can say it's Prohibited. But technically any thin amount over, and it's legal.

I posted my full and detailed review of the Earl in this thread here (which has probably been knocked down to the tenth page since a week has passed).

Actually, I use a short coated cable lock when I Transport mine, but thought it looked hilarious like this on the internet, and drove home just how small this little revolver is. You'll see in my other pictures that it comes with a mini padlock, and anything you can lock around a frame strap would work to prevent insertion of the cylinder, but I don't like the included one since it has the potential to scratch the finish as it dangles around with metal-on-metal contact.
