I decided against bow hunting yesterday and headed out with the 12ga to chase down some grouse a few hours north of Toronto. As I'm walking the bush I stumbled upon a heavy bear area with lots of bear poop all over the place. Some of the poop was a few days old and some was only a few hours. I then turned my attention to looking around for the bear but he was no where to be seen.
As I'm heading through some thick bush to get back to the trail up pops a mature buck no more than 40-50 yards from me. Throws his tail in the air and makes a bee-line out of there.
Guess that was a sign I should have went deer hunting with the bow... lol
