So a few of us with more time than money on our hands decided to make a film. Or, another film, I should say... but this one's kinda related to Milsurp. We used a few of my Enfields in the production.

The Film is called "Jerot Seisman: Frontline Beautician", and we're hopign to be done editing by Christmas.

Some stills from the set, for your criticism/enjoyment, fellas.

hahaha... thanks guys!

It's short, like 7-8 minutes long. And done in grainy Newsreel footage. Not period correct, at all, but it was something to do. Don't think we'll be 'releasing' it, but we'll have copies for sale, I'm sure.

Excuse the old soldiers eye,but HAIRCUTS!!! The troops were kept pretty well shorn to help control lice infestations in the trenches. Also, excessively long hair, incl facial hair, made it hard to get a tight respirator fit and to properly decontaminate after a gas attack.Anyway it looks like you were having fun.

I have no idea what the movie is about, but think about the title a bit more....

I think long hair may be part of the story.

Yup, sure is.

But perhaps more importantly, while I consider myself a method actor, I wasn't about to cut my hair for such a lo-budget film.

Basically (like our first project), this "film" is the result of some hilarious ideas between a few of that lived together during University. And, having access to cameras and editing equipment... you see the result.

In Scott's words (Writer & Director...)"

"There were plenty of cameras rolling during WWI, but what has never before been witnessed are the men and woman who risked their lives to make the soldiers look their best - because the Allied Forces like to win, and they like to look good doing it.

Jarot soon finds out that the Germans have their own beautician, and all hell breaks loose. It's war! No way those enemy scum are gonna be looking better than the Allies, not on Jarot's watch, not while there's a breath left in his lungs!

With unquestioned resolve, Jarot embarks on a beautifying marathon - for his army, for his country and for his King."

"...HAIRCUTS!!!..." Yep. The RSM will be along shortly with the Regimental 'barber'. RSM said the barber was sharpening his shears. Asked him why. He said he was feeling good. Wants to know how you got so clean too. Might be why he's feeling good though. You'd best get those trenches dug properly before the RSM arrives as well. Not deep nor wide enough and no proper shooting platforms.
He'll want to know why that lad is out of uniform too. snicker.
